A Proven Servant Leader
I've spent my life serving Marion County: On our streets as a police officer, in our church, and through a small business that quietly helps people solve problems.
28.5 years with Ocala Police Department (retired 2016)
Small-business owner, Sentry Service Investigations
15 years youth ministry at Blessed Trinity
Husband, dad, granddad, lifelong Marion County ties
"I believe in serving others first, taking good care of what God has given us."
- Jeff Bairstow
Why I'm Running
It's time for growth that follows the county's adopted Comprehensive Plan, which is our official growth blueprint, not back-room, case-by-case deals.
Infrastructure First Growth
No big new projects should be approved until the roads, water, public safety, and schools are already in place or fully paid for with a clear timeline.
Clean Water: Springs & Aquifer
We'll keep an eye on the numbers that show how clean our water is, share those numbers with the public, and keep changing what we do until pollution levels go down.
Humane Animal Services
We should have an animal shelter that treats animals humanely, has clear goals, and shows its results openly so people can see what's happening.
Respecting Your Tax Dollars
You should be able to easily see where your money goes, what projects it pays for, and what you're getting in return from the 7.5% local sales tax.
Open Land-Use Decisions
Sunshine meetings, plain English explanations, and real public input before votes. No more back-room deals.
Stand with First Responders
Prioritize equipment, training, and coverage, and track outcomes to prove every dollar makes us safer.
Day-One Commitments
Ethics pledge & public calendar
Growth & Roads Town Hall (first 30 days)
Water Stewardship Summit
Homelessness Roundtable (providers • law enforcement • neighborhoods)
